Brain Damage is the first public exhibition by the Kalb Balady (Stray Dog) collective. Through the exhibition, eight upcoming visual and street artists from Egypt responded to the issue of poor education and its impact on the public. This collective came together in early 2013 through Wust Al Balad Studio. Street artist Mohamed Khaled invited the group to work together over the span of nine months on developing their techniques and practices, particularly with painting.
This video documents the work of the eight artists exhibiting in Brain Damage. Khaled and artist Razan Saeed also explain how the group came together, and the vision behind Wust Al Balad Studio. Brain Damage included Amro Okacha, Fady Galal, Fajr Soliman, Ghadir Wagdy, Haytham Sherif, Maghraffiti, Mohamed Khaled and Razan Saeed.
